Thank you kind anon : ) This is just what I needed.
I see posts of people saying they’re there to listen. The problem with these posts is that people who would like to ask for help are too afraid that the people offering help don’t actually mean it. Or that they won’t get a response for one reason or another.
You know it’s legit if your little brother’s roommate is doing it.
my first spam! haha
I’m going to get a new piercing! Maybe a second tattoo? Either way I’m drawing up a tattoo now for next month. I’m really excited to get this one. Much more of a positive tattoo this time. If I could get the internet to cooperate with my phone I would post a picture of what I have so far.
The wording I’m putting in it is from Le Petit Prince.
“si quelqu’un veut un mouton
c’est la preuve qu’il en existe un”
or in English “If someone wants a sheep, this is proof that one exists.”
I saw this quote and felt it would work perfectly with the rest of my tattoo design. The meanings match very well and go together.
One day I shall get around to explaining the whole concept if someone wants to listen. I could sit and talk about it forever if I wanted. There is great meaning in this tattoo. I am very excited to see how it will turn out.
Started college today. Got a job today. Met my other roommate today. I’d say this was a good day.
So to all you people out there who said I shouldn’t get the tattoo or lip piercing, you’re wrong. I got a job with a dread in my hair, tattoo on my arm, and metal in my face.
Now if only I could feel like everything was okay. I thought I’d be happier once things changed, but it hasn’t happened yet.
I had my dreads for 10 months before I combed them out. My mom felt the same way that I should “go get them done right so they look nicer.” I used the rip and twist method for making my dreads and had great success with that. If you want to try to keep your dreads, the best argument would be that the hairstyle takes at least a year to fully mature and will keep looking better from here on out. The first year is the ugliest haha On the other hand, if you are considering combing out your dreads, make sure it’s something you’re ready for. Combing out dreads is more of a commitment than starting dreads because you can’t get them back as easily. If you want to comb out your dreads, it is possible. Be warned though: a lot of hair will fall out, but that’s just the hair that would have fallen out anyways, but got stuck in the dread because it couldn’t fall out. There likely will be some breakage, but nothing that can’t be fixed with a quick hair cut. Conditioner will help. Some people prefer working on combing out their dreads in the shower but I found it easier to do when my hair was dry. I didn’t use any wax so I was able to un-dread the ends and pull the hair out from the root. Youtube is a great resource for learning anything about dreads, including combing them out. If there are any questions I haven’t answered, feel free to message me anytime : ) Good luck!

Got my first hair cut in about a year! I love how my hair looks now. The dreads were great but I missed long hair!
